Alias “Jacinto” would be the fourth ringleader of that organization, an expert in explosives, right hand of alias Ramiro, the main ringleader of the Residual Armed Group, GAO-r E18, and he would be in charge of carrying out terrorist operations against the Security forces and civilians in the north of Antioquia.
In the joint, coordinated and inter-institutional military operations, carried out by troops of the National Army, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police, the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, and attending to the recommendations of early alerts No. 029 of 2018 and 004 of 2020, it was possible the death in development of military operations of alias “Jacinto”, fourth ringleader of the GAO-r E18, as well as the neutralization of three more individuals, apparently members of this criminal structure.
As a result of the military operation that is being carried out in the north of Antioquia, and thanks to the information provided by the Civic Participation Network, soldiers of the National Army arrived at the village of La Castilla, in a rural area of the municipality of Ituango, in Antioquia, here were heavy fireights against members of this organized armed group, who committed crimes in the sector.
According to what could be established, alias “Jacinto” since 2020 would have become the fourth ringleader of the armed structure, after the neutralizations of alias “Patoso” and alias “Picino”, in the first quarter of the year. This 19-year-old man apparently had been with the organization for five years and would have ordered the murder of a person in process of re-incorporation last February, in the Puente Inglés sector. In the same way, it would be responsible for the forced displacement of more than 300 inhabitants of the El Cedral district of Ituango. Along with this individual, three other people were neutralized, who are in the process of being fully identified by the authorities.
Alias “Jacinto” would appear in a video distributed on social networks, in which members of the GAO-r E18 expressed their intention to challenge the State and join the structure of alias Iván Márquez.
During the military operation, it was in the same way possible to find firearms, ammunition, explosives, and communications equipment.
This command requested the accompaniment of the control agencies to follow up on the corresponding investigations that may take place in light of the circumstances of the time, manner and place of the events.
With this result, the command and control of the GAO-r E18 armed structure is heavy hit. The troops continue to search for the other criminals, with the aim of neutralizing their criminal intentions.
