The operations were carried out in the municipalities of La Plata and Neiva, in the department of Huila.
Intelligence information and the continuous presence on the roads have led the soldiers of the Ninth Brigade, to continue harming the operations of drug trafficking in the department of Huila, so they have both 'damaged' those business and safeguard public health. In the recent hours five individuals were caught and five and a half kilos of marijuana were found.
The first operation carried out by soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No. 26 'Cacique Pigoanza', took place in the village of Panorama of the municipality of La Plata in the place known as El Basurero; there, the units after the stop sign and the judicial inspection of the occupants of two motorcycles, proceeded to capture four people since they found five kilos of marijuana; later they immobilized the vehicles.
According to the investigative work, the illicit substance came from the department of Cauca and would have as a destination sites for sale the municipality of La Plata, western Huila, where it would be distributed by doses.
During the operation against drug trafficking the individuals were put into custody of authority.
In Neiva, units of the Artillery Battalion No. 9 'Tenerife', captured another individual who was found with a pound of marijuana, apparently to be distributed in retail.
