Thanks to the Government of Meta Department, the battalions of the Seventh Brigade and support units that protect the different territories in the department will strengthen military operations against instability factors.
The Fourth Army Division, within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan and in an inter-institutional work of the Government of the department of Meta, receives 15 new vehicles that will serve for the mobility of the troops in the theater of operations; these correspond to 9 4x4 vans, 2 buses, one FVR type truck and three NQR trucks.
The objective of this new equipment seeks to support the security strategy in the department of Meta, especially of the municipalities that are part of the south of the department and border with the department of Guaviare, in these territories a military operation will be carried out to neutralize the expansion intentions of Organized Armed Groups.
The Army works on the basis of strategies conducted by the institutions, the territorial authorities and the community itself, in order to reduce the different problems such as extortion, kidnapping, homicide, theft, micro-trafficking, smuggling and damage to the environment, among others.
The commander of the Fourth Division of Colombian National Army highlighted the important operation carried out by the Seventh Brigade and the Rapid Deployment Force over the region and emphasized the commitment that his units have to maintain tranquility in the territory; as well as highlighted the importance of continuing to work in coordination with the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office of Nacional to generate an environment of security and trust among the inhabitants.
