Heliport for the southwest of the department of Antioquia

After the Security Council that was held in the municipality of Jardín, chaired by the Minister of Defense, and with the aim of strengthening security in this region, the first meeting was held to review the feasibility of building a heliport.

 

This issue was also addressed in the municipality of Jericó, in which two of the heritage villages of the Antioquia department, where tourism is increasingly more important; its economy is reactivated in the midst of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

 

The meetings were attended by the Secretary of Government of Antioquia, Mayors of Jardín and Jericó, representatives of the Colombian Air Force and National Police, and a team of the Directorate of Air Navigation and Directorate of infrastructure, analyzed several items for the construction of this project.

 

The initiative will benefit the connectivity of the southwest Antioquia and the entire department, not only to promote tourism, but also to facilitate the conditions of access to these places in emergency events.
