The Minister was firm in stating that members of the Military Forces and the Police were indeed who win the victory to arrest alias Otoniel.
During the Fuerza de Gratitud event, at the Tolemaida Military Base, the Defense Minister, Diego Molano, said that although many have questioned the victory of operation Osiris, the work of the Military Forces to find and arrest alias Otoniel was impeccable.
“Many have questioned the victory of the operation Osiris because, it is said, that this bandit looked for the troops, [but] the truth is that soldiers and police officers of the special forces, of the Police, the Army, Air Force, arrested the worst offender in this century, and they achieved the most important operation in this second decade of our nation,” said Molano.
In the same way, the Minister was firm in stating that at no time the result of the most important operation against the Organized Armed Group Clan del Golfo should be questioned.
“The credibility of the soldiers is above the lying word of a bandit and I want to tell you today that you are in the same way the force of inspiration, soldiers and police officers are, and should be, inspiration for Colombia,” said Minister Molano.
On the other hand, the head of the Ministry of Defense, highlighted the day after day operation of the soldiers and police officers of Colombia to maintain security throughout the national territory.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you for the love to your Country, for being a different citizen, thank you because while thousands evade danger, this year you have faced danger, fulfilling that sacred oath and even losing your life to save Colombia, to restore freedom and to guarantee that you will always be the foundation of democracy,” he said.
